I've created my own 60+ bottle tree and a ribcage immersion cooler and have plans/pictures if anyone wants ideas.

I'd like to see the bottle tree. I just drilled a bunch of holes in a piece of plywood i had, and set it on saw horses. I've been trying to figure out how I could concoct a bottle tree cheaper than buying one.

Yeah...I'd like to see those plans too...

...my wife is getting sick of me using her tampons.

...but they fit so nicely in the bottle, and the little string makes them really easy to pull out.

...and the package does call them sanitary napkins, so I'm right in thinking they're already sanitized, right?

So you will need:
-5 feet of 1 5/8 OD PVC Pipe (1/8inch thick) for the trunk of the tree
-30 feet of 1/2 inch thin wall PVC pipe (5 sections of 6 ft is what i bought) - i'd bring in a beer bottle in your coat just to check if you are concerned or the store is far (i did)
-a box of 2 inch drywall or stainless screws
-4-5 feet of 2x4 or 2x6 - Green wood is better since we are dealing with water but its not really necessary

First - wash all the pvc to get any gunk off them.
Take the 1/2 pvc and cut them into 6 inch pieces - should make 60 piece total
I used the 2x6s to cut the base (it's what i had lying around) and screwed them together around the trunk of the tree so it can slide out if i need to move it
I predrilled the holes for the screws about 2 inches apart about 90 degrees from one another (if looking down at the pipe - one at each of the four major cardinal directions). Drill the hole at a pretty extreme angle(i was EXTREME enough). Then you add the screws into the mix
You then slide on the branches and put the hole thing into your stand.

This isn't a sanitize and hang system as much as a drying/storing rack for the bottles

I had the screws and the wood so my total cost was about under 10$ add the screws and/or wood and you are looking around 15-20$

Here she is in all her bottled up glory

I could put another set of screws in to double this to 120 bottles

So the screws should be screwed in at a more extreme angle to help proper drainage. I have to burp these bottles for the next two night when i hang up bottles to make sure they completely drain out.

And how does one sanitize the whole thing before we hang up bottles just to be safe?

Star-san in a spray bottle!!!
