first time growing hops. Is it harvest time?

Wait until they feel more papery when you pinch them in-between your fingers, and a few hops begin to change color. When you squeeze a hop it won't feel as firm as a fresh one.

Some of the smaller cones are turning brown on the edges. I will keep a close eye on them.

Pick the ones that start to turn on the edges...or pick them all. I'm sure it won't hurt to pick them a few weeks premature, you can always go back for the small ones later.

I dry mine on a big roll of window screen with a fan next to them, blowing air away. Takes a couple days max.
