10 gallon mash tun for about $65 bucks

I just made this 10 gallon mash tun for about $65. Took about 15 minutes to assemble.
10 gallon cooler-Home Depot $39.96 plus tax
Stainless braid, washers, valve, tee, and 3 pieces of pipe-Menards $18 plus tax

Is that a 3/8" valve or 1/2" ?

And do you have any plans for a false bottom?

I have been thinking of trying to make one out of a cheap large cutting board, if I can find one that's ridgid, cheap, and microwave safe. Cut it to shape and then drill a thousand holes in it

3/8" valve that way you can use the gasket that is already in it.. No plans on a false bottom, works great! The research I've done about making a false bottom all points to buying a pre-made one, it would be more cost effective to me.

Does Menards seem to have a bigger selection of pipe, fittings and washers? I tried to put something together when I went to lowes the other day and their selection of couplers and such were pathetic. Ive got to get my two coolers setup and I have a hard time paying $20 for 1 bulkhead.

Menards has the best selection of fittings and the cheapest prices.
