Closing of Brickworks?
I have been working shift work, and not been to the last 2 club meetings. One of my coworkers told me that Brickworks Brewing is closing or has closed. What happened?

I'm not sure. I went into Brickworks Brewing about a dozen times for lunch and a couple pints and thoroughly enjoyed both. The place wasn't packed out though.
Hobart may not have been ready for a premier beer offering, having lived there for many years it's a shot and a beer type town. I had overheard that there were some construction overruns on that project, perhaps revenue could not overcome the cost of running the place?

The rumor that I heard was landlord problems. The emphasis there is "rumor."

I also heard the rumor about the landlord.... in particular the landlord not renewing the lease...???
It's too bad any way you look at it. Just seems it's one of those 'everyone loses' situations.
